Emma Hooper works on African-related projects both in the NGO and commercial sectors, and is particularly enthusiastic about assisting women entrepreneurs to play an increasingly important role in economic and social development. Emma has a Masters from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, majoring in Government and Politics of Africa and obtaining a distinction.
She speaks Yoruba and is well versed in Development Economics. Based in Lagos, Emma is the Business Development Director for Afrocet Montgomery, presently organising a summit with the Nigerian government and generating business, partnership and sponsorship for manufacturing, security and exhibitions and conferences in Lagos and Abuja.
Emma is also a freelance political risk consultant focused on West African politics and economics. Previously, she worked in Financial Services for three years in a trading firm.
